Electronic Power Up Sound

I’m looking for a sound of a robot/an electronic device powering up much like that in this clip of Iron Man at 14-16s.

How is this made? It drove me crazy for hours trying to describe this sound to people.

Hello Kaitnynnschott

I am not hearing any specific power up sounds at 14-16 seconds in the video, however i am taking a guess (could be wrong so just say) and created these below…. are they what you mean?

Let me know.

Those are close! They’re a little too spacey sounding though. I’m using the sound for a handheld recorder powering up

Ok, I think I know what will work. I have a busy day, but will try and get something added later, or tomorrow.

It’s very close. Is there a way to make it sound more electronic and less like a lens focusing? It’s more of an audio recorder. Thanks so much!

Okay, no worries. I’ll have another go tomorrow. I’m pretty sure there is something in the library that’ll work with a little modification.

Hey, sorry I’ve suddenly become really busy… it’s on my list and I’ll sort asap 🙂

Hey! I actually found something for the effect. The photoflash capacitor for a disposable camera makes the sound.

That’s great to hear. I’m sorry I didn’t get straight back to you on this one. Time got away with us recently. Glad you sorted it 🙂
