Today we launched a new feature for our contributors… the ability to add a portfolio to their profile page showcasing the credits they’ve gained, any awards they’ve won and their educational achievements. We’ve seen a growing number of our users take a keen interest in where the sound effects uploaded to zapsplat.com come from and who is behind them and we thought this was the perfect way to give a bit more of an insight into who they are and what they are all about.
This is all leading up to the launch of a huge new feature we hope to launch in January 2018….
A new ‘Hire Me’ feature for our sound effects contributors
With so many of you looking for sound effects by not only browsing our library, but also posting requests, this seems the next logical step for zapsplat.com. In fact our user base is a real mix of hobby users right through to professional production companies. Just this last month has seen our sounds used in movies, a TV series, games and much more. With this in mind we want our contributors to have a space to be able to showcase their amazing sound effects and music by giving a selection away for free to a large audience, while gaining exposure to those who are also looking to hire a sound designer, field recordist or musician/composer to work on their project. The system will be via secure private messaging on our website with the ability to chat off-site via email or however you may choose.
And the best part… it will be a free service for sound professionals to gain work via our site. You join, add some sounds, add your portfolio and set your profile to ‘available for hire’. Our visitors choose you, you chat and work out the price or details of the project yourselves.
