As field recordists, we travel a lot to different parts of the world, and part of that includes taking ferries. Over the years we have been on many car and passenger boats and we always have a microphone and recorder on hand to record the action. Included in this pack are a wide range of large, medium and small ferry sounds, recorded mostly onboard capturing the ambiences of various spaces, but also some external ambiences too. We have large car ferry sounds sailing between the UK and France. These sounds include dock ambiences with waves lapping against the dock wall, onboard in cafeterias, corridors and toilets and up on the deck near the large funnels with the sound of the ocean rushing by. We also have leisure ferry sounds, recorded on various catamarans and smaller river ferries including the chugging sound of the onboard motors and passengers chatting away.
