77 matchstick sounds to download, professionally recorded and ready to drag right into your next project. We took a humble box of matches and got to work recording every conceivable sound possible. We started by recording several match strike sounds against the lighting strip on the box, recording close up to capture in detail the igniting of the match, the burst and then flicker and sizzle of the flame. Several versions are included from hard strikes to fails, matches snapping in the process and more. Then we recorded the match flames being blown out and extinguished in water. We love the sizzle and fizzle sound produced when we did this and with some simple editing, you could turn those into larger heat bursts. Lastly we recorded several matchbox sounds, including handling, removing matches, opens and closes, drops and set downs, shakes and more.
